The book's author Cultural historian Siv Ringdal (b. 1973) is the book’s author. In 2002 she came out with the book “The American Lista. With 110 Volts in the House” (Pax Forlag publishers). Ringdal has published numerous articles and created three exhibits about the migrations between Southern Norway and the U.S. In fall 2007 she will open the exhibit “Elvis at Great Grandma’s” at the Vesterheim Museum in Decorah, Iowa and at the Heritage Hall of the Norwegian Christian Home and Health Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.
